The science behind AAVIE: based on Ayurvedic principles

How your answers become a personalised supplement, and the traditional ideas behind each step.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

AAVIE is based on Ayurvedic principles. Ayurveda describes each person by their natural constitution (Prakriti), their current imbalance (Vikriti), the strength of their digestion (Agni) and signs of incompletely processed material (Ama). AAVIE turns questions about these into a personalised supplement selection, which a Vaidya reviews before it ships.

What “based on Ayurvedic principles” means

Ayurveda is a traditional system of knowledge. AAVIE applies its framework to women’s cycle and hormonal-balance support. This page explains that framework. It does not present clinical results, and AAVIE makes no treatment claims.

The five ideas AAVIE reads

IdeaPlain meaningWhat the assessment looks atHow it shapes your supplement
PrakritiYour natural constitutionBody, mind and routine tendenciesSets your baseline
VikritiYour current imbalanceCycle, sleep, stress, energy right nowShapes what you need this cycle
AgniYour digestive fireAppetite, digestion, regularityInfluences which herbs are chosen
AmaSigns of sluggish digestionHeaviness, tongue coating, low appetiteGives weight to digestive support

The eight things your supplement is built from

Your supplement is shaped by eight parameters: your body type (Prakriti), cycle pattern, flow, inflammation, stress, metabolism, digestion and nutrition. They are combined for you each cycle, and a Vaidya reviews the result.

From your answers to your supplement

  1. You answer questions about your cycle, body, sleep, stress, digestion and routine. This is your body intelligence at work: signals you already give.
  2. Your report describes your Prakriti and current Vikriti, with Agni and Ama signals.
  3. A rules-based engine built with our Vaidya team proposes a herb selection. Each herb is described in Ayurveda by its rasa and guna.
  4. A Vaidya reviews the selection, can change it and signs it off. See how the review works.
  5. You reassess each cycle, because your Vikriti changes.

What this is and is not

It is

A traditional framework applied to a personalised herbal supplement, with a named Vaidya review.

It is not

A diagnosis, a treatment, a lab test or a claim of clinical proof.

Good to know: AAVIE is a herbal supplement. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it does not replace medical care. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition or take medicines.

AAVIE reads cycle information with standard medical reference ranges in mind, such as typical adult cycle lengths. It does not diagnose conditions, and it points you to a doctor when your answers suggest you should see one.
