Agni, Ama and Vikriti in plain words
Three Sanskrit terms that explain how Ayurveda looks at digestion.
Agni is the digestive fire. In Ayurveda it covers more than the stomach: it describes how well you turn food, and experiences, into energy.
Ama is what the tradition describes when digestion is sluggish and things feel heavy, coated or foggy. Vikriti is your current state of balance, which can differ from your Prakriti.
Why it matters for a blend
Our assessment asks about appetite, bloating, energy after meals and tongue coating. These signals help our panel choose herbs that suit your digestion today.
These terms come from a traditional system. They are a framework for reflection, not a lab measurement.
